About
Jester of Columbia, commonly known as “Jester,” is a humor magazine based at Columbia University.
Founded on April Fool’s Day in 1901, it is still cranking out jokes in the 21st century, despite the bleakness of the future.
Jester publishes two issues a semester, and also hosts comedy shows on campus. Previous Jester issues have addressed important topics of interest to everyday Americans, including Food, Money, Health, and Technology; recent shows have included “The Iliad of Laughing,” “A Banquet in Honor of the King of Spain,” “Up Late With Jeff Julian,” “Finite Jest.”
